Life is a constant process of reinvention. You don’t have to be who you were yesterday, and if you don’t like something about who you are today, you can change it. A great way to do that is to jump on board our Purposeful Business Start-up Programme. Over six Wednesday afternoon sessions, you will benefit from being part of a supportive group of like-minded people.
So far, we have helped almost 40 individuals to set up their very own people and planet focused businesses. Some of these were people who had taken a break from work to bring up children and found that they had lost a little confidence along the way. Some had become bored in their current role. Some had been made redundant. Others just wanted to escape the rat race and head off in a new direction.
Our programme is different because whilst we help you with traditional business skills like marketing, finance and sales, we also provide you with the opportunity to be coached. For many, this is vital in developing the resilience you’ll need to bring your dream to life.
Another way we are different is that we help you to become profitable, but also to play your part in what the world really needs – kindness and compassion for yourself, for each other, and for the planet.
But don’t just take our word for it. Former participants have provided ringing endorsements for the programme and have given us the confidence to believe that we’re really onto something.
Take Claire Ashcroft, for example. A former coach herself, Claire has turned her expertise, as well as her love for dogs, into a wonderful business: Calm Dog Coaching. Claire runs Zoom sessions with dog owners to help them nurture a deeper connection with their pet. She said:
‘Karen and Dave have helped me to see the wood for the trees! I feel like I’m emerging from the forest with the clarity, focus and motivation I need to take Calm Dog Coaching forward.’
We really do try to provide that clarity for people, so it’s great to hear that it’s appreciated.
It isn’t just getting clear on your idea that counts in business, though. Sometimes, raising your awareness about yourself as a person, and getting to the core of who you really are, is equally important, especially if you want to avoid getting in your own way. Florence Salberter, an architectural wood carver, benefited from the opportunity we provide for deeper reflection:
‘This was a journey of self-discovery during which I gained tools that will be invaluable going forward’, said Florence.
We have been so impressed by the creativity and drive of all of the people we have supported to set up in business. From zero waste shops to silicone straws, from furniture makers to green build specialists, and from ethical marketing businesses to bicycle wheel building, all have been awesome to work with.
We’re always excited about who might contact us next. So, if you want to create a better future for yourself and the world, why not find out more or book a place here?
